Provincial Elections to the National Assembly of Quebec´08


On december 8th 2008, just 1 1/2 years after the last provincial elections, Quebec was again called for an election:
Premier Charest (Quebec Liberal Party) won a own majority and switched his minority government into a majority government. The new Action Democratique lost its status as offical opposition to the comeback party of the separatists, PQ. First time Quebecers voted a new party into the National Assembly: Quebec Solidaire, an ultra-left wing and separatist party with one seat.
